About SoPas Solar Shine.
SoPas Solar Shine is a locally owned solar panel cleaning company serving homeowners, businesses, and HOAs in South Pasadena, CA (ZIP 91030). We were founded in 2019 by a former solar installer who kept hearing the same question from customers across LA County: "Who do I call to keep these clean?" Today the company does one thing — residential and commercial solar panel cleaning — so every home solar panel system in the neighborhood keeps producing the efficient solar power it was designed to deliver.
Our mission
Protect every solar investment in South Pasadena with cleaning that's safe, measurable, and routinely scheduled.
Our values
Show up on time. Treat each roof like a neighbor's roof — because it usually is. Leave it cleaner than we found it.
Our promise
If you don't see a noticeable production lift on your next bill, we'll come back and re-clean at no charge.

Daniel Ortiz
Senior Technician
Roof-safety certified and detail-obsessed. The reason our hand-finished panels look the way they do.
Why we only clean solar.
When Diego started SoPas Solar Shine, the local market was full of window cleaners, gutter guys, and pressure-wash crews who all happened to "also do panels." That sounded fine — until we started inspecting their work. We saw mineral spots etched into glass from municipal-water rinses. We saw anti-reflective coatings scrubbed off by polyester pads. We saw cracked tiles, voided warranties, and one memorable bypass diode burned out by a pressure-washer hose that knocked a junction box loose.
So we drew a line. SoPas Solar Shine is dedicated to washing solar panels and nothing else. That focus is the entire point: every tool we own, every training hour our technicians log, and every minute spent on your roof exists to keep your solar energy system producing more power, safely. We don't try to upsell you on gutter clearing, we don't show up with a window squeegee, and we don't borrow equipment built for another job. Clean solar panels are the whole company.
Our standards on every roof.
We don't think "professional" should be a word you have to take on faith. Here is exactly what shows up at your house when you book a cleaning with us.
Equipment
Dedicated deionized-water system with replaceable resin cartridges, soft natural-bristle solar brushes, telescoping carbon-fiber poles, foam-padded ladder stabilizers, and non-marring tile walking pads. No pressure washers, no rotary buffers, no detergents, no harsh chemicals.
Training and certification
OSHA fall-protection certified, NABCEP-trained lead technicians, manufacturer-aligned cleaning methods (LG, REC, SunPower, Panasonic, Enphase). Every new crew member rides along for at least 40 supervised cleanings before they lead a job.
Insurance and licensing
Fully insured with $2M general liability and full California workers' compensation coverage on every employee. We carry a C-61/D-49 specialty contractor's license and we'll send the certificates straight to your inbox before any work begins.
Communication
Real humans, same-day quote turnaround, calendar invites for every appointment, and before-and-after photos of every panel texted to you the day of the cleaning. If we find something that worries us up there, we tell you immediately — not in an invoice line item three weeks later.
Neighborhoods we know by heart.
Staying within the 91030 lets us know every street, every roof type, and every weird microclimate quirk. We've cleaned tile arrays on the 1920s craftsmen off Monterey Road, comp-shingle systems in the Marengo and Oaklawn neighborhoods, low-slope commercial arrays on Mission Street and Fair Oaks Avenue, and rooftop carports on HOA-managed buildings near the Gold Line. We know which blocks bake the hardest, which ones sit under the densest tree canopy, and where the pollen waves hit first each spring. That local knowledge shows up in better scheduling, faster quotes, and cleanings tuned to your specific exposure.
